The Vigil Honor in Muscogee Lodge #116 is a high mark of distinction given to those Arrowmen who have demonstrated dedicated service to the Order of the Arrow and its high ideals. It is reserved for those lodge members who, by reason of exceptional service, personal effort, and unselfish interest, have made distinguished contributions beyond the immediate responsibilities of their position of office to one or more of the following: Lodge, Order of the Arrow, Scouting community, and Scout camp. As the Vigil Honor is an Order of the Arrow recognition, special consideration should be given to a member’s contributions to, and under the auspices of, the Order of the Arrow.
Only a limited number of candidates can be selected each year. Arrowmen whose service records are the most representative of the Vigil Honor are usually selected. Nominations must be received by the Vigil Chair, Vigil Adviser, or Lodge Adviser no later than the announced day and time. After carefully considering the eligible candidates, email the completed nomination form to Vigil@muscogeelodge.org.
