The Section Inductions Experience provides all participating lodges (such as those in our section) an opportunity to learn about the new OA induction process being rolled-out for use in 2027. Each lodge must "See One + Do One + Offer One" (in that order).
To help inform all OA lodges, a new newsletter, the Lamp Lighter will keep lodges informed as the new Induction Experience rolls out across the country. Also, you can check out more information, presented to lodge leadership in a recent webinar.
Each lodge is encouraged to send at least twelve youth Arrowmen to participate in the SIE. This delegation should include the five ceremonialists needed to conduct our first induction, the Lodge Chief, any officers or chairmen responsible for overseeing induction operations (e.g., Vice Chief of Inductions, Ordeal Chair, etc.), and the individuals who will serve as Luminaries (formerly Elangomats) during our induction weekend.
Check back later for details regarding what you should expect in terms of the weekend agenda. More details regarding the detailed schedule will be made available when published by the Section, closer to the event date.
The event begins in the early evening on Friday, September 25th and runs through Sunday morning, September 27th. More details regarding the detailed schedule will be made available when published by the Section, closer to the event date.
The 2026 Section Inductions Experience will be at Camp John J. Barnhardt, just outside Gaffney, SC. Enter your starting address HERE to create a map to 44184 Cannon Rd, New London, NC 28001.
