The "Building Leaders And Strengthening Tomorrow" Conference will be held at Camp Barstow from September 27-29, 2024. The BLAST Conference is E7's annual training conference, replacing the ACT conference. At BLAST you will learn how you lead best, how you can serve your chapters and lodges, and gain an understanding of what the section is. Here you will meet with leaders from all across our section and be trained my the best trainers in the Eastern Region.
The Section Council of Chiefs will be held on Sunday in the Dining Hall, beginning at 9:00AM. Section Officers, Coordinators, Advisers, and Lodge Key 3 are expected to attend. The COC will meet to plan the 2025 Cornerstone Conclave.
The Council of Chiefs Meeting is open for all Section E7 lodge members who are dues paid in their home lodge. All Arrowmen from across the Section are encouraged to attend the COC as observers. The event is required for members of the COC and those directly involved with Conclave planning.
Section E7 Officers, Lodge Chiefs, Section Coordinators, members of Section lodges, Advisers, and guests descend upon Camp Barstow for the 2024 BLAST Conference & Council Of Chiefs (COC) Weekend, where the COC meet to develop leadership skills, plan the 2025 Cornerstone Conclave, and decide other Section business.
Check-in is Friday evening from 5:30-7:30 pm in the Dining Hall (Map of Camp Barstow). Please avoid arriving prior to 5:00 pm as the camp and our staff will not be prepared for Arrowmen before that time.
Camp Barstow is located on the shores of Lake Murray, SC. Enter your starting address HERE to create a map to 117 Camp Barstow Drive, Batesburg, SC 29006. Lodges will be assigned to campsites with Adirondacks and you are welcome to bring a tent or hammock. Lodge campsite assignments will be available at check-in. Bring your Class A Uniform & OA Sash, pencil/pen, paper, sleeping bag, pillow, water bottle, flashlight, weather-appropriate clothing, towel, toiletry items, jacket/rain gear.
The fee for the weekend is $30. If you only plan to attend the Sunday COC Meeting, the fee is $10 and lunch will be served. After September 20th, all new registrations will have a $5 late fee applied.
Meals served for the weekend include Friday night Cracker Barrel, Saturday breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Sunday breakfast and lunch. Help us properly plan and buy enough food by registering no later than Monday, September 23rd. Thanks for your help in this matter.
To attend you must be a registered Order of the Arrow member, having completed Youth Protection Training within the past two years. A completed and signed BSA health Form parts A, B1, and B2 will be required (part C with doctor’s signature not required).
